Would You Take This Job?
Would you manage label relationships and campaign execution in the music industry—focusing on Hip-hop, R&B, and Gospel—at a company like The Orchard? Why or why not?

Did a similar role at a distributor; a live release tracker and a 24-hour pre-release QA saved us from bad ISRCs, art swaps, and pitch date slips. If you interview, ask if they allow shared Slack channels with priority labels - it slashes email churn and speeds approvals.

If you interview, ask how many active labels you’d manage and what the on-call expectation is around Thursday night uploads. One small thing that saved me: a 30‑minute T‑7 day checklist with ops/marketing to lock ISRCs, final art/audio, Musixmatch lyrics, and pitch copy - it cut our Friday fire drills in half.
