VEPro or freezing on huge scoring rigs

Scoring a TV episode and a game patch this month, my 520-track template (BBCSO Core, Kontakt 7, Zebra2, a few Valhalla verbs) sputters as soon as the cut arrives in 4K ProRes. For those balancing orchestral detail with real-time responsiveness, is parking sections in VEPro more stable than freezing mid-cue at 48k/128 — without severing the improvisational thread to picture and gameplay loops?

On my last TV ep, VEPro was steadier than freezing at 48k/128: I parked BBCSO Core/Kontakt 7 in a preserved instance with 2x buffer, kept Zebra2 local, and the improv flow stayed intact… But the real win was ditching the ‘4K ProRes’ for a 1080p proxy — sputters gone, ; if you try VEPro, kill Kontakt’s multiprocessor in the server. Want to test a proxy first before moving sections?
