When studios become a comedy club

Ever had one of those days in the studio where the mic picks up more laughter than vocals? I was tracking a vocal for a comedy track last week and my buddy’s impersonations completely derailed the session. It’s funny how equipment meant for serious sound can turn into a vehicle for humor, especially when the levels are all off and everyone’s just cracking up. Anyone else have similar studio mishaps that turned into comedy gold?

I totally relate! I’ve had sessions where we ended up more in stitches than making music. Sometimes, just letting the humor flow and recording those moments can spark some unexpected creativity.
