When bad lyrics strike again

But ever had a song stuck in your head with lyrics so ridiculous you can’t help but laugh? I recently heard a friend sing a line from a hit pop song that just didn’t make any sense. It got me thinking about how some artists intentionally write goofy lyrics and how that becomes part of their brand. I’d love to hear anyone’s favorite example of a song that makes you laugh for all the wrong reasons.

I can’t get over that line in “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette. It’s wild how some lyrics can be so absurd yet catchy at the same time. Ever notice how they end up defining the vibe of the whole song?

It drives me nuts when a catchy tune gets stuck in my head, but the lyrics just make zero sense! I’ve had “Macarena” stuck for days, and those lyrics are all kinds of silly. What’s your go-to song when you need a good laugh, @oliviaroberts72?

But totally agree, @oliviaroberts72 — songs like ‘Ironic’ make you laugh once you really think about it. Got a favorite goofy line?
